LS Institute has its roots in
- Legal Stratagency GmbH (since 2011) - the Berlin-based company specializing in law firm/legal department management, strategy consulting and professional development for lawyers and law firms, operating in EU and in Russian-speaking markets
- LegalStudies.RU (2005-2015) - The Independent Legal Initiative (NGO), which operated in Moscow in 2005-2015 with the broader goal to promote the legal market and legal profession in the Russian- speaking economic region through research, networks and continued education on legal management and soft legal skills.

to contribute to the global development of legal systems and legal certainty by raising the quality of professional legal services across jurisdictions and supporting the most up-to-date legal studies.
LS Institute is truly independent.
We do not rely on any external financial support, unless it is project-based.
The Institute covers its expenses by collecting reasonable remuneration for some of its intellectual products.
However, our target audience – legal professionals – is welcome to support our initiatives on voluntary basis with no individual preferences in return.
